The Tehachapi Police Department and Nixle have partnered to implement a Community Notification System.

The system alerts residents in real-time for localized emergency situations and relevant community advisories.

Residents can register by texting their zip code to 888777 or by going to www.TehachapiCityHall.com and signing up via the Nixle widget.

The alerts are targeted geographically and can be sent via text, e-mail, web, or mobile app.

Nixle provides a hub for governments to provide secure information to residents in real time.
