TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Walmart officials confirmed with 23ABC Wednesday that the new Walmart in Tehachapi is set to open on August 7.

Meanwhile, the Walmart is sill looking to fill 200 new positions. Those 200 jobs will make the bog-box store the second largest employer in Tehachapi. The hiring team says the hunt for those employees are currently underway.

The store set up a hiring office across the street from where the new store is being built on Tehachapi Boulevard.

From entry-level to management positions, store officials say they need every position filled for their new Walmart.
