The Temblor Brewing Company can now call itself a gold medal winner.
The company announced on Friday that it had won a gold medal at the U.S. Open Beer Championship in Oxford, Ohio.
According to Temblor, breweries from all over the world sent in more than 6,300 beers representing more than 110 different beer styles.
Temblor's El Cerrito won gold in the American Premium Lager category.
According to Temblor, El Cerrito is the first locally-produced lager to win a gold medal in an international beer competition ever.
