BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A temporary traffic detour will be in place in the westbound lanes of Truxtun Avenue between Pine and Myrtle Streets from 6 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 15.

The city of Bakersfield crews will be completing an unforeseen repair of a water service line in the area.

Westbound traffic will be detoured north onto Pine Street to westbound 18th Street.

Drivers are advised to use caution and allow extra travel time while in the area of the work or to find alternate routes to avoid the area.
