The Wonderful Company has confirmed that one of their temporary employees suffered an overdose while at the citrus facility in Delano on Friday.

According to a statement from The Wonderful Company, a temporary employee was found unresponsive due to an apparent drug overdose Friday morning.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital.

The Wonderful Company says it's fully cooperating with local authorities.

Cal/OSHA says it's aware of the situation and is looking into it.
