BAKERSFIELD, Calif — A ten-year-old boy is now in stable condition at a children's hospital in Los Angeles after sustaining major injuries from "surfing" on top of a car driven by his mom.

The boy allegedly climbed on top of the hood and his mom continued to drive the car home. At some point, the boy allegedly slipped and fell down in front of the car, where he was run over.
According to a friend of the family, the boy is suffering from two broken shoulders, a broken pelvis, some fractured ribs and internal bleeding.
