UPDATE: The Kern County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 18-year-old, Gonzalo Mojica.  

The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened just after 8 p.m. Saturday evening.

Police officials said they responded to the area of Wood St and E 3rd St regarding a shooting. 

When officers arrived they found a victim who and transported him to Kern medical where he died. 

Officials said the suspects are described as two Hispanic men in a white compact vehicle. 

The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
