After Nicholas Dean’s brother Jonathan Dean was killed in 2014, he had been living with his sister Jessica Dean and her boyfriend Michael Hernandez.

23ABC News obtained the 911 call where Jessica Dean can be heard begging for help after she says Nicholas Dean began vomiting.

Dean was taken to Bakersfield Memorial Hospital by first responders, where he later died.

After obtaining a search warrant, 23ABC News found Dean had unusual abrasions including fractures on his neck.

A toxicology report showed Dean was also given a non-lethal dose of Vicodin and a potential lethal dose of heroin.

The Bakersfield Police Department says both Jessica Dean and Nicholas Dean are persons of interest.

The case is currently in the hands of the District Attorney’s Office.
