BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On June 2 and 3, the Kern County Fire Department will conduct a controlled fire from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at Highway 223 between Highway 58 and Granite Construction Quarry.

Residents should expect Highway 223 to be impacted, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
