The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, authorities responded to a report of a shooting in the 4000 block of Niles Street. When they arrived they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to the hospital where he is expected to survive. A second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
