The Mission at Kern County will host a Thanksgiving Community Meal on Thursday in celebration of the holiday.
The event set to feed over 500 people in need will start at 11 a.m.
Organizers told 23ABC that along with a Thanksgiving meals, people who attend will also have the chance to receive a jacket and a bagged meal for later.
