The outlets at Tejon got into the Holiday spirit early this year. The shopping center's tree lighting is tonight from 8:00PM.
This year, they changed things up. It's not your normal Christmas tree. The tree's lights are controlled by 'Twitter' hash-tags.
The Outlets at Tejon have partnered with charities like Marley's Mutts, Wounded Heros Funds, and CASA.
This is how it works, shoppers can tweet out the outlet's hash-tag along with their favorite charity's controlled color.
Those hash-tags are posted below:
Tweet the following hashtags to the official Outlets at Tejon account (@outletsattejon):
Make the tree change to a solid color:
o CASA: #cheer - blue
o Marley's Mutts: #joy - green
o Wounded Heroes Fund: #peace - red
Make the lights blink: combine any color you choose with #twinkle (white lights will remain on at all times)
o #cheer #twinkle - the blue lights will blink
o #joy #twinkle - the green lights will blink
o #peace #twinkle - the red lights will blink
Turn on the presents at the base of the tree: #shoptejon
The charity that has the tree lit their color the longest, wins a donation from the Outlets at Tejon.
The contest runs from November 10 to Sunday November 12.
