The Valley Plaza Mall food court is under investigation by the Kern County Health Department for food safety issues.

There were reports of strong, foul smells and possible reports of floods in the food court.

Public Health said they passed their inspection today but because of complaints they are continuing to investigate.

The Health Department has received several reports that earlier in the week the restrooms were closed and there was flooding in the basement where some of the food is stored causing a foul odor.
