Five people are in custody Tuesday morning following an alleged theft. 

According to Bakersfield Police, a pursuit started after a theft of a business. 

All the suspects, three men and two women, ran from their SUV after a pursuit with Bakersfield Police. 

They were taken into custody in the area of Houchin Road and Brundage Lane.
