Authorities confirmed that a third hiker died on Southern California’s Mount Baldy this weekend.

A 45-year-old fell to his death from the Devil’s Backbone trail and was found about 1,000 feet below.

His name has not been released.

Earlier this month, 23-year-old Daniel Nguyen fell to his death from the same trail.

47-year-old Dong Xing Liu died in an area south of Mount Baldy. According to authorities, about a dozen hikers were airlifted that same day from the mountain due to icy and windy conditions.
