Thousands ready for local beer and wine at Village Fest

Beer, wine and food for as far as the eye can see.  All will be offered during the 24th Annual Village Fest.

Saturday, 15 bands will take to the stage while you can taste the creations from 60 breweries, 25 wineries and 30 Bakersfield restaurants.

Local breweries like Temblor, Lengthwise and Santa Maria Brewing will be serving alongside California wineries like Tehachapi Wine and Cattle and Tlo Wines.

Proceeds from Village Fest will stay right here in Kern County and will benefit the Children's Advocates Resource Endowment also known as C.A.R.E.. 

C.A.R.E. is a not-for-profit who donates all their funding to programs that help children in Kern County, like buying new backpacks for back-to-school, Christmas presents for children in need and donating to local food banks that serve Kern County children.

The event will be held on 16 acres at the Kern County Museum and the fun begins at 6 p-m.
