Today marked the last day of a three day convention held by Jehovah's Witnesses.
The theme of the convention was "Don't Give Up". The purpose of this convention stems from the challenges that life presents us. According to the event, "life can rob us of peace and can even cause some to think about giving up. This convention was not only for witnesses but also non-witnesses. According to the convention it could benefit everybody because "it promises to empower individuals not only to keep enduring but also deal with challenges productively.
The convention's program consists of 52 parts and has a variety of different formats including interviews and short videos. And it was given in English and Spanish. All three days of the event started at 9:20 am and today the event goes until 3:30 tonight.
Not only is this convention held in Bakersfield but worldwide as well. Last year nearly 13 million people attended all over the world. And this year in Bakersfield alone they expect about 5,000 people to show up over the three day period.
The convention was held at Robobank Arena. It is open to the public and free of charge. The Spanish version of this convention will be held August 18th through the 20th. And another English version will be held August 25th through the 27th.
