The Bakersfield Police Department is trying to piece together exactly what happened that led to three men being stabbed.
Sgt. Gary Carruesco said just before 3 p.m. BPD received a call of reports of stolen lawn equipment from the 9100 block of Lacroix Court in area of Gosford Rd and District Blvd.
Sgt. Carruesco said before police arrived at that scene they received reports of stabbing victims in the area of Grissom and District Blvd.
When police got on scene they found three men suffering from stab wounds, two with minor injuries one with major to moderate injuries.
All three were transported to an area hospital. The man with major injuries is listed in stable condition.
Police said they are looking for three men in a pewter color GM pickup truck who fled from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 327-7111.
