Three suspects arrested for assaulting, robbing victim in South Bakersfield home

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Three people are behind bars for allegedly assaulting and robbing a victim in South Bakersfield, according to BPD.

Officials say on July 23 at around 1:08 a.m. cops responded to a report of an assault and robbery that happened in the area of 2500 Bea Court.

According to BPD, the victim was reportedly confronted at his home by two people armed with guns. That's when he was allegedly assaulted and robbed. The victim reportedly suffered significant injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers were able to detain all three suspects at a home in the area of 6700 Lafayette Way in Southwest Bakersfield. BPD also found items of evidence linking all three suspects to the robbery and the assault. Officials also found indicia of involvement in illegal drug sales.

The suspects have been identified as Angel Ayala,27, Olivia Garcia, 25, and Miguel Garcia, 26. All three were arrested for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, weapons violations and possession of a controlled substance for sales.

The investigation is ongoing.
