BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — El Tejon Middle School will not have class Wednesday because of the planned power shutoff.
The El Tejon Unified School District announced Tuesday night around 10 p.m. that power was out in Lebec and because it was unclear when the power would be restored, they decided to cancel classes.
There are three schools in the district, but officials said the middle school is the only one impacted.
Tuesday's power outage was expected to affect about 596,000 PG&E customers.
