Call it a great escape for veterans in Kern County.
On Wednesday morning, Maya Cinemas in Bakersfield will be offering discounted tickets to local veterans for a screening of the Steve McQueen World War II movie "The Great Escape".
Tickets will be sold for $4. The movie starts at 10 a.m.
