Today, TJ Cox, the Democratic candidate from the 21st Congressional District took the lead from Republican Congressman David Valadao, according to the Kern County voter website.

When Kern County reported updated vote totals, Cox leads Valadao by 438 votes.

Overall Cox is now ahead with 55,650 votes to Valadao's 55,212. According to the Kern County elections website, Cox received 23,693 votes and Valadao got 15,098 in Kern County.

Also, according to Kern County's website Measure N failed by only 13 votes.
