BAKERSFIELD, CA. — Today is Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day and the ice cream brand has partnered with Houchin Community Blood Bank at 11515 Bolthouse Drive to have a pint for a pint event.
From 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ben & Jerry's will be giving away a free pint of ice cream for every pint of blood donated.
But, if you're not interested in donating blood, you can still receive a free Ben & Jerrys scoop of ice cream.
"It's important that we make sure our blood bank is always ready to help others, so this was a great partnership," said Stephanie Gibbons, Houchin Community Blood Bank.
Anyone interested in donated should bring a valid ID with them.
