Being adopted leaves unanswered questions. Some may ask about your family's health history or even who you really are. 23ABC's Imani Stephens shares a local woman's search and discovery of her ancestry.

"Those of us that have been abandoned by our birth parents, whether we're adopted or been adopted, fust abandoned period, we really want to find out birth parents," explained author Judy Fambrough-Billingsley. "Who am I? because that's a big question that everyone wants answers."

Born in a village about 45 minutes from Frankfurt, Germany, Fambrough-Billingsley was one of the thousands of brown babies born to German women and African-American men who were soldiers in World War II.

On January 29th, Fambrough-Billingsley, the author of "Too Brown to Keep" will host a book discussion and Q&A at Dagny's Coffee Shop on 20th Street in Bakersfield.
