BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a rollover crash that has knocked out power to more than two thousand people.
This crash happened just after 4 p.m. near North Chester Avenue and Merle Haggard Drive. According to the CHP traffic website, a silver pickup truck rolled damaging a traffic signal pole before going off of the road and into a nearby property.
There's no word on any potential injuries at this point.
Officials reported that there was also damage to an adjacent power pole and that a transformer blew as a result of the crash. The damage to that power pole has knocked out power to more than 2,600 customers.
According to the PG&E website, crews are on their way to asses the damage and power is expected to be restored by 9:15 p.m.
