The City of Bakersfield is encouraging drivers that use Wible Road between Brundage Lane and Belle Terrace to use alternate routes on Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4.

During that time slope paving will require flagging personnel to stop vehicles for up to five minutes at a time from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will affect both directions of traffic.

According to the city, "Work may be rescheduled without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Please slow down and watch for construction workers and equipment while driving in the vicinity of this work. The Thomas Roads Improvement Program apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause the traveling public."
