BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Drivers in Downtown Bakersfield may have to look for alternate routes this weekend.
The intersection at 23rd Street and Chester Avenue will be closed Friday night at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, July 15.
Crews will be working around the clock to improve drainage at the intersection.
Officials say northbound and southbound drivers can use either H Street or L Street to cross the 23rdStreet and 24th Street corridor while work is underway.
