MCFARLAND, Calif. – A section of Highway 99 will be closed in McFarland while crews demolish the Kern Avenue pedestrian overcrossing.

If weather permits, the highway will be closed from Sherwood Avenue to Perkins Avenue today and tomorrow from 11 p.m. to 5 am.

Posted detours will be available for drivers coming from both directions. 

Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary.
