BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Southbound I-5 on-ramp from Highway 46 in Kern County will be closed this weekend for construction, according to the Department of Transportation.

Officials said the closure will start Friday at 6 p.m. and will last until Monday, December 16 at 6 a.m.

Caltrans stated that during the slated closure there will be a posted detour on Southbound Highway 33 and Lerdo Highway drivers can use.
