A brush fire was reported off of Highway 223 a few miles south of Highway 58 near Keene Wednesday.

It was reported just after 12:30 p.m. The highway was closed for 30 minutes but has been reopened.

The acreage and containment is unknown, but the blaze is less than one mile from where the Deer Fire was.

No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
