UPDATE: Roads have since reopened.

UPDATE (8:00a.m.): Bakersfield Police said the roadway will be shut down in the area for several hours while clean up is underway. 

Officials said paint and some sort of solvent spilled from the truck and trailer involved in the crash. 

Fire crews were unable to clean up the roadway because the spill was too large. Environmental Health has been called out. They will respond and clean the roadway. Then the roadway will be reopened.

A traffic collision in northwest Bakersfield is blocking lanes near Coffee Road and Olive Drive. 

Officials said it happened around 4:45 Sunday morning. 

It is unclear what caused the crash. 

Bakersfield Police are investigating the crash. Officials said injuries were minor.

It is unknown how long it will take to clear the crash and reopen lanes.
