Traffic stop leads to drug, felony warrant arrest in Ridgecrest

RIDGECREST, Calif. — A Ridgecrest man is behind bars after a traffic stop led to a drug and felony warrant arrest.

According to Ridgecrest Police, on June 1 around 8 p.m. an officer stopped 34-year-old Andrew Anguiano in a vehicle in the area of 1400 North Norma Street.

A record check was conducted and revealed that Anguiano was on active PRCS and had an active felony warrant for his arrest. The officer also located cocaine and psilocybin mushroom during a search. That search located in the 1500 block of N. Calvert Rd. and conducted a search. During the search, officers located more cocaine and psilocybin mushrooms. They also located methamphetamine, Xanax, Oxycodone pills, and a fully automatic firearm at Anguiano's residence.

Anguiano was arrested and booked into Kern County Jail. He is currently being held without bail.
