A train has come to a stop after it hit an unoccupied car at Towerline Road and Edison Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the train hit the car just before 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The CHP is looking for anyone who was in the car.

The CHP says no one was hurt. A tow truck is headed to the scene to remove the car.

According to CHP, the driver was trying to cross the tracks where there's a road closed sign. Over the track is a big hole and the car got stuck. The driver and passenger were able to get out of the car before the train hit them.
