Transition center opens in Lake Isabella to help victims of Erskine Fire

A transition center is now open in Lake Isabella to help victims of the Erskine Fire. 

The main purpose of the center is to help victims find resources during the repopulation effort.

Normal hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is located at Wallace Elementary School at 3420 Erskine Creek Rd. in Lake Isabella.

According to a Wednesday morning press release from Kern County Fire, road closures off the 178 continue at McCray Rd. and Dogwood, at Entrada south of Highway 178, and Kelso Valley and Kelso Creek Road.
