UPDATE (Feb. 17, 2017, 10:44 a.m.): According to city workers, the tree falling across N Street damaged two cars on the street.

Crews are working now to clean up the area.

The Bakersfield Police Department are blocking traffic on N Street in Central Bakersfield from 4th Street to 7th Street.

There is a tree in the middle of the road on Chester Avenue and N Street, behind Compassion Church.

No traffic is allowed through as crews work to clear the area.
