Emergency crews are on the scene after a tree fell on a car in the area of 17th Street and Union Avenue in Downtown Bakersfield.

According to BPD, the tree fell onto the car after the car reportedly crashed into it around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Officials say the driver of a car was taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of the driver's injuries is not available at this time.

Three other passengers, which included two kids, were inside the car at the time of the crash.
