BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Supervisor Leticia Perez' lawyer appeared in court today for a pre-trial conference regarding the conflict of interest charges that were filed against her by the Kern County District Attorney's Office.
Perez has been chargedwith two misdemeanor counts in connection to failing to disclose conflicts of interest while serving as a county supervisor.
Investigators have alleged Perez voted on marijuana related issues that stood to benefit her family.
According to court documents, her trial is expected to start on March 25.
