BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — TRIP has announced nighttime lane closures on the Westside Parkway and Truxtun Avenue scheduled for next week that will continue for two months.
According to a news release, crews will be conducting striping activities on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30 so the intermittent closures will be in effect for all lanes on eastbound Westside Parkway between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
TRIP says there will be at least one lane open to traffic while work takes place. The work will also shutdown the eastbound loop on-ramp from Mohawk Street. The ramp closure is expected to remain in effect for two months while the contractor constructs a second lane for this ramp.
Drivers traveling eastbound from Mohawk Street will need to use Truxtun Avenue during the two-month closure.
