BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Beginning Wednesday afternoon Olive Street at 24th Street will be closed off for two weeks as part of a new storm drain system installation.
According to TRIP, there will be signage to help direct residents to Oak Street during this around-the-clock closure.
In addition, TRIP says on Sunday night, May 12, it plans to shift eastbound traffic onto the new pavement along the north side of 23rd Street between D and M Street. At that time, contractors will also be working on 24th Street, between the Kern River Bridge and Oak Street. This work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
TRIP advises drivers to be aware on the roads during these closures.
