Seeing above average temperatures on Sunday, but that will all change next week! We will be saying goodbye to the triple digit heat! A cooling trend is expected as early as Tuesday next week! On Thursday temperatures will drop as low as 92 degrees.

Winds will pick up from Sunday afternoon through Monday night in both the mountain communities, as well as parts of the desert. Gusts up to 45 mph are possible in the desert area. A wind advisory has been issued starting at 5 p.m Sunday through 3 a.m Monday.

With all of this wind, air quality is getting better. For Sunday, we will see moderate air quality for Kern County, with an AQI of 100.
