There are two road closures in Bakersfield during the first week of August. 

Truxtun Avenue will be reduced to one lane from Monday, August 6 to August 10 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Congestion and delays are anticipated between Empire Drive and Elm Street during these hours. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes to reduce congestion if possible.

The northbound highway 99 off-ramp to Ming Avenue will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Workers will be fixing the gutter in that area.
