A road closure will be in effect Monday in the downtown area. The closure will be on Truxtun Avenue, between Elm Street and Chester Avenue.

The city says they will be starting a roadway reconstruction project.

Traffic delays are expected and drivers are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan for longer travel times.

The reconstruction will be done Monday through Saturday each week from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Each day.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-December.
