UPDATE: Wednesday night’s closure for the westbound Westside Parkway on-ramp from Truxtun Avenue has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 5, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The adjacent outside lane on westbound Truxtun Avenue will also be closed during these hours.

According to the city of Bakersfield, the westbound Westside Parkway on-ramp from Truxtun Avenue will be closed Wednesday, March 4th between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. In addition, "the adjacent outside lane on westbound Truxtun Avenue will also be closed during these hours."

The roads will be closed to allow construction crews to remove concrete barriers along the on-ramp.

One lane of westbound on Truxton Ave will remain open and the work is not expected to affect off-ramp or eastbound lanes on Truxton.

The city reminds drivers to be careful when driving through construction zones and to watch for construction workers.
