Two suspects were arrested for possession of stolen firearms and concealed loaded firearms in a vehicle on Highway 99 Thursday.
A California Highway Patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Honda Odyssey van with dark tinted windows traveling southbound on Highway 99 north of Elmo Highway around 1 p.m.
The officer was given consent to search the vehicle and found four loaded handguns in a compartment. One of the guns was stolen.
The driver, Carlos Antonio Trejo, and passenger, Elmer Maldonado Vasquez, were arrested and booked at the Kern County Jail.
