Two arrested for vehicle chop shop in Bakersfield, three vehicles stolen

On September 7, 2016, California Highway Patrol officers from the Kern County Auto Theft Task Force (KernCATT) as well as deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant in the 4100 block of Deacon Avenue.

Investigation at the scene determined that an active vehicle chop shop operation was ongoing. Three stolen vehicles were recovered from the scene.

Two subjects, Michael Pinon, 37, and Michelle Beltranena-Castillo, 39, were also located in the location and arrested for a variety of felony charges related to the vehicle chop shop operation. KernCATT investigators will handle the investigation to its conclusion.
