Two arrested in Wasco for methamphetamine possession following traffic stop

On Wednesday May 10, 2017, around 5:58 p.m., a KCSO deputy initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a car near the intersection of Filburn Avenue and Poplar Avenue in Wasco for a vehicle code violation.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 24-year-old Cuberto Cabezas of Wasco. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as 32-year-old Fernando Enriquez of Wasco.

During the investigation, deputies developed probable cause, searched the vehicle, and located 103 grams of methamphetamine inside.

Deputies arrested both Cabezas and Enriquez for possessing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Cabezas was also charged with additional vehicle code violations.
