Two dancers from Bakersfield star in Childish Gambino's viral music video "This is America".
Donald Glover Jr., 34, who uses the stage name Childish Gambino, has Kern County ties being born at Edwards Air Force Base in 1983. Last week he released his single and music video "This is America" featuring five backup dancers. Two of those dancer also have Kern County ties. Siblings Trinity Penn, 19, and Devin Penn, 14, live and dance in Bakersfield.
Last weekend you could have seen Glover star as the guest host and musical guest of Saturday Night Life. While Glover performed his song "This is America" on SNL, you would have also seen Trinity and Devin dancing with him.
23 ABC has talked with the father of the sibling dancers told us they are instructors at PennPoint Dance Academy on 18th Street in Downtown Bakersfield.
