Two found dead in South Bakersfield home over the weekend, victims both shot in head

The Kern County Sheriff's Office said on Saturday October 6, 2018, they responded to a home in the 1000 block of Lomita Drive near S. Union Ave. and Belle Terrace after the Bakersfield Police Department reportedly found two dead bodies. 

KCSO homicide detectives responded and took over the investigation. According to the coroner's office, the victims were 24-year-old Celenna Sanchez and 27-year-old Jessie James John.

KCSO is still investigating their deaths as a homicide. The coroner's office says both Sanchez and John died from gunshot wounds to the head.

Officials said no suspects have been identified.
