Two local school vandalized in southwest Bakersfield, police searching for suspect

Bakersfield Police are searching for the person or people who broke into two schools Friday night in southwest Bakersfield.

BPD said Stone Creek Junior High and Panama Elementary School were both burglarized over night.

At Stone Creek Junior High, the suspect broke a chain-link fence and forced entry into a classroom. 

At Panama Elementary School the suspect forced entry through a gym door. 

Officials said laptops were stolen from both schools.

So far, police have not made any arrests. 

BPD is asking anyone with information about the burglaries to call them at 327-7111.
