BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield Police have arrested two men after they were caught burglarizing a home on California Avenue.
According to BPD, on December 9 around 12:20 a.m., officers responded to a burglary in progress. Officials said the victim reported the incident after he spotted the two men, later identified as 34-year-old Joe Reed and 39-year-old Jason Eglen, on the property through a remote camera system.
When cops arrived, Eglen and Reed attempted to run but were caught and arrested.
Police were able to return the stolen items to the victim.
Eglen and Reed were both arrested and booked into the Kern County jail for burglary, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, and resisting arrest.
